ASTM A53 Pipe
ASTM A53 is a carbon steel alloy, used as structural steel or for low-pressure plumbing.
ASTM A53 pipe comes in three types and two grades, A53 Type F, which is longitudinally furnace butt welded or continuous welded (Grade A only), A53 Type E, which is longitudinally electric resistance welded (Grades A and B), and A53 Type S, which is seamless pipe, produced by hot working, and possibly cold finishing, the steel (Grades A and B). ASTM A53 pipe is sized according to the nominal pipe size (NPS) system.
Tianjin Huilitong Steel Pipe Provides a full range of ASTM A53 Pipe in:
- Round Pipe Size: outside diameter 88.9-457mm, thickness 2.5-16mm of ERW Pipe
- Round Pipe Size: outside diameter 21.3-457mm, thickness 2.5-25mm of Seamless Pipe
- Round Pipe Size: outside diameter 219-2540mm, thickness 4-25.4mm of SSAW Pipe
- Round Pipe Size: outside diameter 355.6-2540mm, thickness 7.92-50mm of LSAW Pipe
HLT provides of Seamless Steel Pipe, ERW High-Frequency Welded Pipes, and SSAW/LSAW Welded Pipes
ASTM A53 Standard Pipes Steel Pipes ordered under this specification is intended for mechanical and pressure applications and is also acceptable for ordinary uses in steam, water, gas, and airlines. It is suitable for welding, and suitable for forming operations involving coiling, bending, and flanging.
The scope of ASTM A53 Standard ASTM A53 is the standard specification for pipe, steel, black and hot-dipped, zinc-coated, welded and seamless. This specification2 covers seamless and welded black and hot-dipped galvanized steel pipe in NPS 1⁄8 to NPS 26, inclusive, with the nominal wall thickness
Materials and Manufacture
The steel shall be made by one or more of the following processes: open-hearth, basic-oxygen, or electric-furnace. The tubing shall be made by a seamless or welding process.
Chemical Requirements & Tensile Requirements for Type E
|Grade||Composition (% by weight in heat)||Minimum strength requirements|
