ASTM A500 Tubing is a standard specification for cold-formed welded and seamless carbon steel structural tubing in round, square and rectangular shapes. ASTM A500 is the most common specification in North America for Hollow Structural Sections (HSS).

Tianjin Huilitong Steel Pipe Provides a full range of ASTM A500 Tubing in:

  • ASTM A500 B
  • Round Pipe Size: outside diameter 88.9-457mm, thickness 2.5-16mm of ERW Pipe
  • Round Pipe Size: outside diameter 21.3-457mm, thickness 2.5-25mm of Seamless Pipe
  • Round Pipe Size: outside diameter 219-2540mm, thickness 4-25.4mm of SSAW Pipe
  • Round Pipe Size: outside diameter 355.6-2540mm, thickness 7.92-50mm of LSAW Pipe
  • SHS Size: side length 20-800mm, thickness 2-30mm
  • RHS Size: side length 20-500X20-750mm, thickness 2-30mm

HLT provides of  Seamless Steel Pipe, ERW High-Frequency Welded Pipes, and SSAW/LSAW Welded Pipes

ASTM A500 tubing comes in four grades based on chemical composition, tensile strength, and heat treatment. The yield strength requirements are higher for square and rectangular than for round tubing. The minimum copper content is optional. Grade D must be heat treated.

This tubing is produced in both welded and seamless sizes with a maximum periphery of 64 in. (1626 mm) and a maximum wall of 0.625 in. (15.88 mm). Grade D requires heat treatment.

Materials and Manufacture

The steel shall be made by one or more of the following processes: open-hearth, basic-oxygen, or electric-furnace. The tubing shall be made by a seamless or welding process.
